Some stories begin with a place.

This one began with two different worlds.

Ömer Akpınar, çocukluğundan beri baba mesleği olan tekstil sektörünün içinde büyüdü. Kumaş, terzilik ve üretim süreçleriyle iç içe geçen yıllar, ona kaliteyi ve gerçek zanaatkârlığı daha mesleği olmadan öğretti.

Gömlek üretimindeki uzun yıllara dayanan deneyimi sayesinde, bir ürünün ilk kumaş seçiminden son dikişine kadar nasıl inşa edilmesi gerektiğine dair güçlü bir teknik bakış geliştirdi.

Karel Baki, on the other hand, approached BANDE through storytelling. His background in theatre, art, and visual culture shaped a perspective where objects could carry memories, symbols, and emotion. Rather than seeing a scarf as an accessory, he saw it as a canvas - one capable of telling stories through illustration.

Together, they saw an opportunity to create something beyond fashion.

Not just scarves.

Stories, told through fabric.


Karel's narrative approach to design and Omer's deep understanding of textile production allow every piece to be both expressive and enduring.


Because design without craftsmanship is incomplete.

And craftsmanship without imagination is easily forgotten.


And this is only the beginning.
